Environmental assessment of circularity by the CSTB

To address today’s environmental challenges, the CSTB has developed Ecoscale — an environmental assessment of circularity that provides reliable and comprehensive information on the circularity of construction products.

The DESCHAUMES Group submitted Naofloor to this multi-criteria analysis, based on four key indicators covering the entire life cycle of the product.

Following a full evaluation by the CSTB teams, each indicator is given a rating from A (the highest score) to E (the lowest).

Recycled and Renewable Materials

This indicator measures the proportion of recycled and renewable materials used in the product.Cet indicateur permet de mesurer la quantité de matière recyclée et renouvelable dans le produit.

Naofloor is a solid French oak flooring, 100% PEFC-certified to ensure sustainable forest management.
Wood is a bio-based material — durable, renewable, and naturally sustainable.

Disassembly

This indicator assesses a product’s ability to be dismantled without damage, making it easier to reuse or recycle.

Naofloor is installed as a floating floor using its patented Blockmoove® interlocking system.
Our flooring can be dismantled and reused with ease: once the skirting boards are removed, the planks can be taken apart one by one, simply by reversing the installation process.

Reusability

This indicator evaluates a product’s ability to be reused after its first life, for the same purpose for which it was originally designed.

Thanks to its specific assembly system, Naofloor is designed for reuse.
The solid wood planks can be installed and reinstalled several times throughout their lifespan — which can extend over several centuries.
A detailed guide for disassembly and reinstallation is provided.

Naofloor is the only flooring whose lifespan exceeds that of the building in which it is installed.
With its patented Blockmoove® system, this eco-designed solid flooring lasts significantly longer than traditional glued or nailed parquet floors.
Full product traceability is ensured, from manufacturing to each reuse cycle.

This indicator reflects a product’s ability to enter a recycling process at the end of its life and be effectively recycled.
